PANTYMOCH Solar farm
Pantymoch Solar Farm, a 10MWp connected @ 33kV project, is located at Port Talbot, Wales, UK, and is a community energy project under the Feed-in Tariffs Scheme. The first 5MWp, the commercial part, was commisioned and energised in December 2015 whereas the other 5MWp, the community half, was commisioned and energised in June 2016. Being at the top of a hill with a very narrow access road leading to the plant through a quite residential area, the objective difficulty of this project was the transporation of all the equipment and materials on-site; a nearby unloading area was rented and a regulated number of small trailers per day was used for the transportation of the equipment and materials ensuring the least possible annoyance to the nearby residents.
